Chesterfield County School District will be administering the Cognitive
Abilities Test (CogAt) and the Iowa Assessment to ALL 2nd grade students.
This is a mandatory state test that will help identify students who may be
eligible for our district’s gifted and talented program. Also, these
assessments give teachers useful information to identify effective teaching
strategies for all students.

Congratulations to Ostin Martinez who has been named the EES Student of the Month for October! Ostin's teacher, Ms. Watson, says, "Ostin is an amazing student whose smile and energy can brighten up anyone's day!" Congratulations Ostin being chosen Edwards Elementary's October Student of the Month! The EES Student of the Month is sponsored by the Chesterfield High School Alumni Association. Ostin has been provided a sign to display proudly in his yard during the month of October!
EES is also proud of all the classroom nominations. These students were presented with a Student of the Month button. Congratulations to Mrs. Beverly Cranford and Mrs. Jessica Jolly- the EES ABC employees for October! Mrs. Cranford is a CERDEP teacher and Mrs. Jolly is our Secretary. Both of them are true examples of ABC employees because they go Above and Beyond the Call of Duty every day for our students. Thank you, Mrs. Cranford and Mrs. Jolly! EES appreciates you!

We would like to thank all the wonderful grandparents who came out to have breakfast with their grandbabies this morning! WHAT A TURN OUT!!!

Who has the absolute BEST cafeteria staff in the world?! We do!!!
We'd like to give a huge shout out to these rock stars! After everyone was fed, (including faculty, staff, students, and of course grandparents!) our count was over 1,100 people!

Our SCHOOL #SOM is Skylah Gaither! Congratulations Skylah! Her teacher said, "Skylah is the type of student every teacher dreams of having in their class. She works diligently on her assignments, is helpful to her peers, strives to always do her best, and is an active participant every day. She never has a mean word to say about anyone. Skylah is loved by her peers and everyone who knows her has nothing but good things to say."
