Congratulations to Ms. Nivea Watson and Mrs. Sherry Parnell- the EES ABC employees for April!
Ms. Watson is a teacher of exceptional children and Mrs. Parnell is an instructional assistant. Both of them are true examples of ABC employees because they go Above and Beyond the Call of Duty every day for our students.

Edwards Elementary School will follow the testing dates below for end-of-the-year testing.

In 2022, the South Carolina General Assembly unanimously passed S.1103, otherwise known as the South Carolina Child ID law. As a result, Chesterfield County School District has been given at-home child ID kits that are available for each student in grades kindergarten through 12th grade. CERDEP students will be eligible to receive a kit next year. To obtain a kit for your student(s) please, call the school office and we will send one home with your child. These are inkless, at-home kits, stored by parents and guardians that never enter a database. This kit should take less than 2 minutes to complete and is designated to be stored solely by you as a parent or guardian in a cool, dry, and safe place at home. Please understand there is no obligation to request or use the kit. However, it will allow you to have your child’s vital information, fingerprints, and DNA in a safe place should you ever need it. These kits are to be STORED AT HOME and should only be given to law enforcement in case of an emergency.

Congratulations to 1st Grade Teacher, Mrs. Elizabeth Moss, the Edwards Elementary 2022-23 Teacher of the Year!!!
Principal Caroline Miles says, " Mrs. Moss is a phenomenal educator! I love when I'm able to spend time in her 1st grade classroom. Her calm, caring disposition creates a learning environment where students thrive and grow both academically and socially. Learning occurs when students are held to high standards and feel loved at the same time. This happens daily in Mrs. Moss's classroom. Elizabeth Moss is very deserving of this honor."

1st grade student, Daniel Allen, has been named the EES Student of the Month for March!
Daniel's teacher, Mrs. Moss, says, "Daniel exemplifies what a student and classmate should be. He always works hard, does his best, and is ready to help his classmates whenever needed. He is the sweetest friend to everyone, and this shows by the number of hugs he receives each morning. We are so proud of Daniel and thankful to have him as part of our classroom family! ." Congratulations, Daniel for being chosen Edwards Elementary's March Student of the Month! The EES Student of the Month is sponsored by the Chesterfield High School Alumni Association. Daniel has been provided a sign to display proudly in his yard during the month of March!
EES is also proud of all the classroom nominations. These students were presented with a Student of the Month button as well as a gift certificate complimentary of Shiloh to Go here in Chesterfield. They are as follows: Karter McIver, Gabrielle Rushing, Braelyn Rogers, Luke Hayes, Marquis Brown, Raylan Toler, Paisley Shaw, Xo Funderburk, Melony Strong, Easton Wood, Chance Grant, Kamille Dudley, Francisco Cortes, Khloe Rivers, Jade Wilson, Serenity Moses, Aria Hodges, Brooklyn Funderburk, Ragiyana Mungo, Sadie Watson, Kentrell Hall, Milo Ratliff, Kinsley Hardwick, Emma Phillips, Destiny Purvis, and Cameron Outing.

Berkleigh Smith has been named the EES Student of the Month for February! Berkleigh's teacher, Mrs. Wallace, says, "Berkleigh is a sweet, hardworking student. She is always willing to help others in the classroom. She also has a positive attitude and is kind to everyone."
