Congratulations to 3rd Grade student, Tiana Ford, for being named the EES Student of the Month for February! Tiana's teacher, Mrs. Oliver, says, "Tiana is such a sweet student. She’s always kind and respectful to everyone, students and adults alike. She is such a caring person and is a friend to all. We are so lucky to have her in our class!" Congratulations, Tiana, for being chosen Edwards Elementary's Student of the Month! The EES Student of the Month is sponsored by the Chesterfield High School Alumni Association. Tiana has been provided a sign to display proudly in her yard during the month of February!

EES is also proud of all the classroom nominations. These students were presented with a Student of the Month button, a token to the EES Book Vending Machine, and a certificate provided by Shiloh to Go for a free kid's meal or ice cream! Congratulations to Mrs. Rosie McLaurin and Mr. Randy Sellers- the EES ABC employees for February. Mrs. McLaurin teaches fourth grade Math and Science and Mr. Sellers is one of our custodians who works to keep our school safe and clean! Mrs. McLaurin and Mr. Sellers are true examples of ABC employees because they go Above and Beyond the Call of Duty every day for our students. Thank you, Mrs. McLaurin and Mr. Sellers! Congratulations to 5th Grader, Brooklynn Funderburk, who came in second place at the Chesterfield County District Spelling Bee. Way to go Brooklynn! We are so proud of you!

Fourth Grade student, Kenlyn Jones, has been named the EES Student of the Month for December! Kenlyn's teacher, Mrs. Wilbur, says, "Kenlyn is such a kind, sweet and thoughtful student. She always goes out of her way to make sure all of her fellow classmates feel included. Whenever conflicts arise, she always tries to be the peacemaker and encourages everyone to 'shake it off'.
